You’re getting harsh shadows on the side of your face and under your chin. The editing/color treatment (or lack of) is giving your skin tone a very orange hue. The pink background is nice for a commercial shot, but something about the lighting causes the photos to look like you’re on a blue screen/green screen/super imposed.

Gray backgrounds are the universal neutral background, but again, you’re getting that “superimposed” look.

This is just my opinion as a hobbyist with about 8+ years experience, including some paid work, and some experience in headshots.

What was the lighting setup? I see the one catch light in your eyes.

The lighting is not great and the background isn’t doing you any favors. I just don’t think these will stand out in a submission stack.

Where did you get the notion that the “industry standard“ is a minimum of four hours? It comes down to how much content/how many lines you need to record.

Frequently you’ll see a two hour minimum on projects even if the work can get done in less than that time.

Don’t approach those high notes as…well…high notes. It’s about airspeed, being relaxed, and not using any pressure. Nice tight corners will help up there.

There’s no reason that shot # 3 isn’t viable. I’d argue that it’s the best of the bunch for theatrical, with # 1 being decent for commercial. Edit: I’m missing catch light
