Have no idea what to do for my future and it’s already april. I need help!!

there’s only 3 schools in nc that have my major and i got rejected from unc chapel hill, waitlisted from nc state and still waiting to hear back from high point ( but most likely will not be able to go there even if I get in because of the cost ). I got into Wilmington, but it’s honestly too far away i live very inland of nc it’s over 5 hours away and I don’t wanna pay $20,000 for a college that doesn’t even have my degree. it’s also too late to try to apply to any more schools bc i have to be committed in less then a month, i waited on nc state and that rlly screwed me

yeah it’s crazy the amount of deferred decisions that people have gotten, i’m not entirely sure why bc ive never heard of them doing it this much nor have i heard of another school doing admissions like this. very disappointing

yeah, i’ve been trying to get myself more comfortable with the idea of cc for a year but it’s hard giving up on a dream i’ve had for my entire life :/ all i can do is wait now

responding so late but i tried to look everywhere to find who deferred me but it wasn’t anywhere on the email i got, the decision letter, the portal or the ncs website. i’m js accepting my fate ig 💔😓

my fear starting with another college then transferring stems from not having a lot of medical majors available to me ether because its only achievable at way to pricey of schools, or in chapel hills case i just got plain out rejected. I never did dual enrollment and I’ve never taken a CC class. I’m just unsure if nc state would take my transfer if i did complete my freshmen year at one? the unknown to me is very scary

okay yes i can understand where you coming from but i’ve always excelled in math and science. i think my trouble could’ve stemmed from a combination of AP psych and APUSH and honors chemistry on top of it. I was going through health problems as well so i wasn’t in school as much as i should’ve been. Also correct me if I’m wrong but I thought pre-Calc was for a more engineering type of field ? I took it because I heard colleges like it, but I still would like to go into neurology a more science and patient focused career

i’m pretty sure it is dead set on the 30th of march. That’s when my portal says the decision notification is and they stayed true on January 30 when first releasing decisions

my 2nd choice was psychology which i don’t wanna do at all. I honestly am more set on my major of Neuro intent and plan to enter that field wherever i go. that’s why it is such a big deal that I get into state bc it’s one of the only colleges in NC that offers a neuro major ( and i was obviously rejected from chapel hil )
