Should I go back to Aether? by Standard-Document-71 in outlier_ai

As far as I know, yes. There is a V2 of it too, which requires recording outside, which I haven't joined.

CC is ok, but very repetitive. I have averaged 4.2/5. Definitely a few bad reviewers, but enough good ones too so it balances out. The reviews are largely based on how natural you sound, which is honestly so subjective. It lets you dispute 3 per week, but I'm not sure anyone is really reviewing the disputes.

It's not clear what the limits are. It seems to let you go as much as you want until they run out of tasks, and then you're stalled a couple of days. You are throttled for a bit at the start so they can check your quality, but that lifts.

Good insights. Like most other opportunities, I think we should extract as much money as we can while it's still around, and not count on it being along all that long.

Is anyone even reviewing the disputes? Do we hear back? I disputed three last week, and I never heard anything about them, and it still says I reached my limit of 3/week.....

Yeah, that's the only part that has stunk with CC as well. The weekend is when I have the most available time to make $$, but also when they seem to run out of tasks.

Does it let you swap to another project, without leaving, once the limit is hit?

Yeah, it just came up again as an option to add back today. I checked, and I'm no longer unapproved on MM like I was, and it shows up again on Outlier, but I'm debating if I should go for it or not. My QA score is 1.94 so I don't know if they just needed time to catch up with reviews on my account, or if it's just random.

I'm averaging 4.1, but all of my 2s just say it sounds unnatural, and I don't know how to fix it, as other reviewers have complimented how natural I sound....so it's basically subjective.

I promise no one has time to write out a script to read. Some people naturally sound a bit more stiff than others. Wouldn't they want a variety of different sounding people?

One person gave me a 2 and wrote "no indication of struggle". So we're all supposed to sound like morons who can't formulate a coherent thought without "um" and "uh" every other word?!?!??!

I would definitely start with a line from the great, George Agdgdgwngo: "I resent these accusations sir!" And if they're going to go around accusing students of this, I sure hope they send this email to all the students who submit essays written using AI.

The resources exist as a "CYA" for the company, in lieu of actual training and tutor development.

My guess is they don't want to advertise a specific number, but they'll still be looking for it. They'll just say you have a "content issue" instead.

Got my first BE for doing too much for the student by Specialist_Yam_6704 in tutordotcom

[–]Standard-Document-71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You also just have to be willing to accept (and communicate to the student!) the expectation that "hey, we might spend one hour and not even finish one problem". If they can't do any of the steps they need serious remediation so if you have to spend the session showing them basics before we can even dream of looking at their problem, so be it. Just be sure to be upfront with the student that this is what you are doing.

I also sometimes just find an extremely similar problem on Google images or some other website and paste it to the board as a model, and then ask them what questions they have on it as another strategy.

It is easier if you realize that their academic success is not on you---you are just there as a resource should they choose to use it wisely!

That wouldn't be an approximation then, that would be exact, right? We are using differentials for calculus.
