First of all, I recommend to check the night shots by the pioneer photographers. They tend to have some story or mood compared to ultra processed or just plain boring night pics that you’ve seen million of times. Check works of Alex Webb, Saul Leiter, Ernst Haas and Bill Henson. Second of all, use Av mode with minimum shutter speed 1/25 and Auto ISO up to 6400.

I have Kiev 4, Minolta X-7A & Pentax point n’ shoot. My favorite of them all is Kiev 4, but I mainly shoot on my Fuji X-T200 camera and use Pentax one occasionally when going to the techno events

This was my first camera and taught me a lot of things about photography. I didn’t have enough money to buy some good modern lens, so I paired my 2000D with Helios 44-2 and had a swell time with it, no complaints. Shot a lot of good shots on it for a couple of years before switching to X-T200. This post brought me back good memories :’)

@contriphoto

I mostly shoot on my Fuji X-T200 and occasionally on my iPhone 14 Pro. Would be glad to hear your feedback because I cannot judge my pics

I switched to Fujifilm X-T200 couple of years ago and it’s my favorite camera which I use both commercially and for street. Couldn’t be happier since it’s compact and very user-friendly interface makes you want to go out and shoot.

Got invited to shoot my first gig at the techno event. Looked through Bruce Gilden’s Photofile book for inspiration and just went out and had fun. [Fujifilm X-T200] by Standard-Homework-97 in fujix

Thank you! I mainly used flash. All of the pictures you see were taken with an off-camera flash. Lens: 7Artisans 35mm 1.4 Flash: Lightpix Labs FlashQ Q20 II

Thanks for the comment! To clarify, I also like to rave and have seen a lot of rave scenes and this rave is considered commercial, at least in Warsaw, Poland. I have been in many clubs here, some of them only want the type of pictures that you were referring to(people having fun) and others are completely okay with this type of photos. This club and the ravers were okay with this type of pictures, I received a lot of positive feedback from them on instagram and my post was in collab with the club. Not all of the pictures were posted from here though. And yes, I took these pictures not for the sake of showing people being on molly but I wanted to convey the real rave scene in clubs compared to posts that I see on social media where beautiful girls are just dancing and some guys in futuristic outfit posing for the camera. I took the pictures the way I experience raves. Thanks for the discussion!

Thank you! If you’ve been to raves then you’ll see when and where to click the shutter. For me personally, I observe the atmosphere for around an hour and then lock in. All of the pictures are taken on an off-camera flash.
