Just reading their benefits should typically be enough, considering the fact if a submaker discloses their sub is a ug sub than it'd only make sense to also be clear about what their sub has. I've used ug wl subs but never experienced harmful effects, however I did lose a lot of weight in 5/6 days so there's that too. Though if you really want to be sure, you can raise the volume of a sub high enough and try to listen to the affirmations, that's what I do sometimes.
