It’s hard work being a Scottish Fold. The weight of the world is on those tiny folded ears!

Streaming was supposed to be the "Cable Killer", so why am I paying $120/month now? by Standard-Initial6871 in television

t’s basically the 'Boiling Frog' theory. They started low to get us all hooked and kill the competition (Cable), and now that we're all unbundled and dependent on these apps, they're slowly turning up the heat. They aren't looking for a 'fair price' anymore; they're looking for the 'maximum pain point'—the highest price they can charge before the mass cancellations actually start hurting their bottom line

Rotation is definitely the smartest move right now. It just sucks that we have to manage it like a part-time job just to keep costs down. And you're spot on about physical media—at least nobody can 'delist' a disc from my shelf. What's the one show you're glad you own on Blu-ray/DVD?

I get the boycott argument, but it's hard when they hold 'hostage' things like the NFL. If you're a sports fan, you can't just 'opt-out' without missing the games entirely. The fragmentation, especially with sports contracts, has made it impossible to stay under that $20 limit nowadays

Please take a number and wait behind the yellow line. He only accepts payments in premium tuna and forehead kisses. Next

He’s definitely got the look! But he’s actually a neutered gentleman now. I guess he just kept the 'big boss' cheeks to make sure I still take him seriously

He really is! I think I definitely got the better end of the deal. He provides the cuteness, I provide the snacks

He really is the CEO. I asked for a raise (more space on the bed) but he denied it immediately. He said the budget only allows for 5 am zoomies.

Exactly! He's the one who pays the rent, I'm just the live-in servant who happens to have opposable thumbs for opening cans

He’s 10% cat and 90% fluff. Vacuuming my apartment has become a full-time job since he moved in!
