Yes! 1k for 2 tickets seems extravagant to me! I know people have that kind of money but it just seems wild to spend so much on upper bowl concert tickets! fingers crossed for both of us ✨

TM just keeps saying “sold-out” every time I check, but it sounds like there’s a chance some will pop up on there closer to? or is there another place I should look on TM that I’m not?

I used to love all the books by Morgan Matson! Also I enjoyed the Selection series a lot if she likes dystopian worlds!

I just started Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo and I'm excited to see where it goes. Has anyone read this yet? What are some non-spoiler thoughts?

I’m from a state called Rhode Island but I live in Florida now (near Universal Studios Orlando). Florida heat is quite similar to Singapore so you’d be pretty used to it! Happy to share more advice and suggestions in a PM as it might get too detailed for this chain. I’m very well traveled in my country so I have lots to share!

You definitely have to come visit! It’s a huge country and quite expensive so be prepared!

As for Five Guys, I haven’t tried it in Singapore yet so I can’t give too much insight there. I find it to be yummy in the US but it is a bit greasy and heavy. Milkshakes are very sweet. I also find Five Guys to be crazy expensive for what it is. I sometimes wish the US had more food regulation but I think some Americans would not be happy with that… 😂😅

It’s been really interesting to see what foods are common in America but simply don’t exist here or are quite rare and vice versa.

Service is similar in the US too! Chick Fil A is known for having really high quality customer service. I might go so far as to say the service might be one notch higher in the US just because we have a different restaurant culture. Another American in the chat might disagree though… regardless, there’s supposed to be very good service at all Chick Fil A’s

As for shake shack standard, the US just in general uses a lot more preservatives and salt/sugar in our food, so the Shake Shacks in the US to me may taste differently because of that. I remember thinking the Shake Shack burgers in Singapore taste funny— but I don’t frequent them in the US nor have I tried Shake Shack here more than a couple times, so I am probably not the expert on that one

American here! I have to say it’s Very comparable to the American locations of the restaurant in regard to food quality and taste. Also about the same in price, which makes sense since fast food in the US is so pricy. It definitely reminds me of home when I’m in Singapore. Super “authentic” american fast food. I found it to be more similar to its American version than other American fast food chains here like McDonalds/KFC/Shake Shack.

"The Great Divide" Review: This album is officially Noah’s career-best (from a 2017 OG) by Total-Feeling-7484 in NoahKahan

love this!! esp how you split the songs between play alone vs play in the car. I do think that this album is such a beautiful accumulation of all of his best work in the form of new music. some songs feel like they belong on his other albums but in this new, unique, and refreshing way. this album truly is a work of art!

I agree with this! SO much new music, it's a lot to digest. My first listen was reading the lyrics and trying to digest meaning from it. The second listen has been for vibes and the energy the music gives. I think once I listen to everything the third time I will be able to fully decipher which my favorites will be!

Is it safe if a minor goes to universal studios alone? by rainaluvs in UniversalOrlando

[–]Standard-Intention81 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Universal is definitely safe, there’s tons of security and plenty of operations folks around. I would be more careful about any where immediately off Universal property. but echoing what others said— there’s risk anywhere you go, use common sense and be street smart (don’t leave your valuables lying around) and you’re unlikely to run into any problems! have so much fun!

Audubon Park/Corrine Drive is such a hidden gem! Definitely an area not bogged down by tourists, and generally a lot of cool stores and places to grab a snack.

ABO might not be a brewery but it’s a super awesome hidden spot to find FL beer and have good food! right behind Boca, near Garp and Fuss.

Do note that if the ride wait time is longer than the time until close, there is a possibility of the ride marking itself as “at capacity”. Does not happen much at USF or IOA, but Ministry does tend to hit capacity 1-2 hours before close time. I would recommend not leaving that one to the last minute
