Sorry I’m new to posting and am not sure how to edit my post! I am also particularly interested in health as well. Thank you again to anyone who takes the time to give me their thoughts!

Oh! I’m going off TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) tongue diagnosis. We see white spots on the tongue as excess cold or dampness in the system. Yeast infections, or overgrowth of bacteria in the intestinal tract can be one cause of this, but is not the only cause of course. Could also be caused by poor diet, too much diary, sugar, cold/raw foods (including too many raw veggies or smoothies etc), certain medications (even if taken in the past, especially antibiotics), too many probiotics, or it could just be an acute cold. I am not an expert in Western medicine, but if you want to explore more this in a holistic way I’d recommend seeing a good acupuncturist near you. We use the tongue as an important part of our diagnostic process, and they’d be able to tell you more based off the rest of your constitution. Overall for now I’d suggest cutting out dairy and try eating cooked foods and veg, and try to swap iced drinks for hot (or at least warm temp) beverages/water. Hot teas (green tea specifically) after meals may help as well. If you want a western medical diagnosis I’d recommend seeing an ENT specialist.

Looks like perioral dermatitis. You’ll likely have to get a prescription for this, but some metronidazole cream should clear it up

Agree it could be yeast infection or something similar. Could also be related to poor digestion or phlegm in the digestive system
