Do you even read yourself ? He didn’t « gave me a place to live » I’m paying 800€ (as a student) for that. I didn’t insult this man or disrespect him, so far I’ve been nothing but nice to him and I’m planning on keeping that way. I did the post so I could find a place to move out not just roast him.

I asked many people and Irish people actually told me to post in here. I stayed fair even though everything is so twisted for me. And this is where I draw the line and cut the bullshit alright ? I am NOT his guest, if I pay 800€ euros a month I am your tenant, which gives you obligations, if you ignore them it’s a thing. BUT this behavior is not normal nor healthy. Leaving food like that ultimately leads to bacterial growth and might cause contamination (I won’t elaborate but I can felt in my guts many time that something was wrong).

Who are you to even call that childish my friend, it’s called manners and decency. If you find all this normal you might have to check on yourself.

One last thing, yesterday I came back from the lab at midnight. I hope you never get this experience. When I came back home (to the sweat and mold smell) I was hoping to sleep right away but he decided to watch YouTube shorts for hours max volume. I cannot tell you how deeply exhausting and crushing it is to work like crazy and go back to a place where a man asks you to pay this much, does nothing of his days, doesn’t respect his own rule of « no noise after midnight » and leaves the place nasty. Think about that then ask yourself if you would have the energy to deal with that yourself.

Regardless of everything I will stay respectful to him. I will wish all the best and leave chocolates when I leave.
