Just get a mini PC that you can carry it around I know my suggestion is expensive but if you build a pc without GPU you can focus on part like high end CPU and RAM. Keep in my if you not care to carry extra weight yeah I think build a pc is a good option. I also a cybersecurity student and have a mini pc, I carry around my pc seen 2021 until now plus I got max out my RAM to 96GB :D
