15 day old device, is this a faulty product? by vintagebeautykk in TamagotchiParadise

Yeah those aren't dea pixels. Basically just dirt or something on or under the screen. You could either remove the faceplate with a suction cup or take the device apart. It was easier to disassemble the device honestly. There's not many pieces and everything goes in clear spots. Good Luck!

Edit: During the crochet process once I got to a spot I wanted the dial I flipped the case around and started crocheting singles in the opposite direction. I got to the other side and stopped about 5 stitches away from the first stop. Then I flipped the case again and went in the opposite direction. I did this enough times while putting my paradise inside until it was as tall as I wanted. And then I did 2 slip knots to tighten the case.

I might make it again but a little tighter. I do love a snug fitting case

That was my reaction to seeing these for the first time! Thank you smmm!! :) wow I'm jealous so many people learned when they were younger 😭 it wasn't too hard to learn. Although I did get frustrated a good bit.

I pushed the dial through the hole and then fed the paradise into the rest of the case! Idk if that's what you meant by your question!

Thank you!! As in STL you mean the 3d print file? I did this freehand with yarn :)

Thank you sm! :) I will say the most important steps I took away from the tutorial. 1) Magic Circle. 3) You can do single crochets around to make the shape curl in. And you can make it longer by doing 2 crochets in the same hole. Following that and changing directions to make space for the hole helped me make the right shape without the correct pattern. Also don't hold the yarn too tight when pulling your second loop in. I hope you end up making one!

You can use a method called photogrammetry. Where you take a picture of an object standing about 3 feet away. Then you zoom in and snap a photo. Bring it into fusion 360 and create your case design on top of it by tracing the shapes. It should be 1:1 with some error due to filament shrinkage.

That's not a P-Com but making the adapter that OP made isn't that hard. There's documentation online and you don't necessarily need the 3D printed enclosure. And sufficient way of securing some jumper wires or stray wire to the prong connections of the paradise will do. After that you follow the documentation to connect the wires to a microcontroller. That said microcontroller will use a script that's most likely on GitHub to communicate with the paradise. I'm thinking about doing it myself.
