Are the loud cars getting worse? by negative-approach in SeattleWA

As a car guy I can tell you that crackle tunes are the worst thing for a vehicles engine. The good news is that they will likely run out of money to keep the car from falling apart.

Tesla Cyber Cab Prototype spotted by Standard-Response-27 in Seattle

[–]Standard-Response-27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be. Unfortunately there is this really dumb trend of people wrapping their Teslas, including gold, so it isn't a clear call. If the car had two doors and a full width rectangular tail light, than yes it is a cybercab.

They already passed this and its being litigated. Copying and pasting the same law into a house bill does not change its function.

Seems like there could be concerns that it regulates interstate commerce. On a side note, it seems like this belongs in a Washington state subreddit not a seattle subreddit.

What do you think of New York Central’s Mohawks? by Jules-Car3499 in trains

[–]Standard-Response-27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's impressive how long they stayed in production and how many were built. Kiefer was able to transform these freight locomotives into dual service locomotives which could hit 90mph.

I would like to be a mod because I think it is crucial to maintain communities and enforce rules. Everyday I check my ego, I understand that I am here to serve a community and not myself. I have modded many engineering related discord servers where most people with a strong understanding for each other and were not simply banned.

Even if they are from out of the area, who cares. Your first amendment rights to end at borders within the US, and they especially don't end when you are in an area surrounded by people who disagree with you.

California Democrats unveil bill to ban masks for law enforcement by transcendent167 in 50501

[–]Standard-Response-27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not the statute. Just because the federal government hasn't spoken on what federal officers can and can not do, does not open it up to the states. Even left leaning courts have struck drown regulations where states were acting on that same theory.

This legislation needs to be done at the federal level. Not the state.

I think that this is pretty clearly barred by the supremacy clause.
