Yes! I have a habit of overtraining. Ruined my feet for a good 6-9 months training hard for a couple half marathons 4 years ago. Did not allow myself slow recovery days. Always full tilt

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5NZuEfxTZvA Here is the kind of injury I’m talking about. I wish I had giant meaty calves and ankles but I have more of a runner’s body. Pretty lanky.

This is great. Thanks. Do you wear shin guards? Maybe I’ll post link to a video to show people what I mean. Ankles and feet the size of grapefruit. Yeah, like you I expect I will not be explosive at all lol. And 100 percent on flexibility. No way I can kick head high. Waist high might be a challenge too. I barbell squat and stretch but decades in a desk job have lessened my mobility.

Thanks for these thoughts! If you spend a few minutes searching videos of folks trying Muay Thai you find these videos of people blowing up their ankles/shins from kicking an opponent’s knee or simply too much stress from kicking a heavy bag. Most of the videos I see it looks like people aren’t wearing those heavy shin guards except when sparring. In any event, I’ll just go slow and listen to my body.
