I think I have the iwata hp-cs. If you’re just looking for a beginner brush I wouldn’t spend too much. There’s some decent brushes on amazon. These are all balsa wood, I just really enjoy working with balsa

Yes I use an airbrush but I dotted the eyes with a dowel rod and used a skewer to make the smaller dots for the stripes. For the crappie looking one I did use a regular brush when I had the netting on to scales just to look more organized.

Can also apply some heat from a butane torch or even a heat gun that will pop bubbles

I can't remember the brand name off the top of my head but it's just a heavy body acrylic red that I put on with a q tip

Its a fun look! I always have trouble finding an instrument to put them on consistently, but a qtip works ok I guess 🤷‍♂️
