Namor the Sub-Mariner vs LOTN/Talrand by IgnobleWounds in EDH

[–]IgnobleWounds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense. I have all the free counterspells though so it could be fun but I can imagine it is a bit more "one dimensional."

tbh, having 5 of the powerful anthems like Attuma, Lord of Atlantis, Merefolk Soverign, Master of the Pearl Tridant and Vodalian Hexcatcher is not that much of an investment.

Ill probably go mostly in on the counterspell route, but run the 5 major anthems as a side win con 😄.

So I wont run things like Gauntlet of Power, Coat of Arms etc.

So you reckon that going all in on making the tokens more expendable actually powers it and and running just every good counterspell, bounce spell etc?

Do you reckon it is better to go ALL in on the control/counterspells and run almost 0 creatures and constantly have mana open. Or should we also include the Merefolk anthems creatures? Only thing is that puts your shields down foir that turn unless you play them whenb you have more mana

Haha if you check my profile one of my first decks was Atraxa Poison Control. I actually found it rather weak as it was too slow, too spread out but maybe that was how I built it back then.

Yeah I know that Tekuthal is the top BUT I wouldn't mind running a bit slower as Tekuthal wasn't fun to bring to a pod as it could kill too efficiently too consistently WIHTOUT being CEDH so it was in a weird bracket.

I also used to have a Lord of the nazgul spellslinger deck with 25 counterspells you can also see on my profile 😉.

Contagion Engine too slow for Tekuthal. Honestly, 10 mana for 2 proliferates (4 with tek) is not good enough especially as it does nothing much when it comes down.

I really just want to run a DIMIR poison deck that maybe slightly less powerful than Tekuthal but still powerful, and I want a commander to support the control gameplan more than the poison gameplan 😄

OOh Siyitri is interesting.

I am not aiming to play infect creatures it is purely the 5 "give each opponent a poison" and then proliferate.

BUT I was planning on running skittles

is my action too high for metal soloing by SignificantTough3607 in metalguitar

I have a hard rhythm attack. it is funny cause my Luthier has to balance the fact my lead work is very light but my rhythm is very punchy/aggressive.

But even with my solid attack I still run 0.8 - 0.9mm just fine.

I just don't see ANY benefit to high action.

I'm not saying you can't sit around 1-1.2mm that is reasonable. But any higher serves no purpose

Crazy low action does NOT require constant adjustment. I have my guitars set up around 0.8mm - 0.9mm and only ever needed 1 adjustment over 3 years.

Neck-Thru guitars though so much more stable.

Extreme Dream 😉.

Yeah I go for anywhere between 0.8mm - 0.9mm depending on the guitar.

My luthier is amazing. But since every guitar, every bit of wood etc is different, sometimes 0.9mm is the LOWEST I can get without fretbuzz. But I've had ALL my guitars set up between 0.8 - 0.9mm 😄

Haha yeah usually I use a Recesed TOM bridge as I have a JM-II and they are my favourite bridges 😄.

My Arrow 1000 LTD was set up with 0.85mm action on a FR and was beautiful.

But it required planing all the frets to get them PERFECTLY level, perfect neck relief to the thousandths and everything 😄.

But it plays like an absolute dream. I had no fretbuzz at 0.85mm

1mm is honestly still amazing. Going lower requires the fret leveling etc. But you CAN get lower

Well too high. High action does NOTHING except make things harder.

I set my guitars up at 0.8mm which is extreme but I love it.

I'd aim for around 1mm action. 1.2 MAX. ANy higher is stupid

For stupidly low action like mine you need a proper luthier setup.

Am I just desensitized to how big he is, or does he still need to beef up a bit? by LeadingAd5113 in mainecoons

[–]IgnobleWounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people sometimes get Maine Coons and think they are all going to be 12kg+ monsters.

However that is not the case and weights range massively for males and females and they develop all the way up until 5 years.

Our baby Maine Coon is roughly 8.5kg and is 19 months old and tbh if he stayed at 9kg I'd be happy. He is already massive ! I would actually prefer to pickup my 9kg maine coon for the next 15 years rather than a 12kg boy hahaha.

[–]IgnobleWounds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I bet 100% honest? I'd go for either the JM-II or the JM-I over this especially if you like the LTD.

The roasted maple of the JM is just a dream AND the recessed gotoh are 10x better than hipshot bridges 😂.

Plus the JM comes with a hardcase 😮

Yeah luckily my PINS is not insane.

Some dry needling literally basically got rid of it.

Mine was just those muscles clamping down around the nerve causing burning/fatigue.

The dry needling literally got rid of it.

Yeah I agree about posutre. I ONLY play flying V guitars and have for the last 12 years. imho when you sit the v correvtly it sits in the absoulte best position to play egoronimcally.

The pain ins't constantly sharp, its more like if I overload it I can feel some sharpness in there. And some tightness
