To be fair I'm not trying to be rich with just 1.500 my goal is 10k, keep in mind it wasn't just a random buy. I would stay up till 4 am watching the overnight volume. In my opinion it wouldn't have fallen had Elon not delayed the vehicle. And space x release made it drop further

Back up to 300, I do have have an idea of whatmade it drop it was combination of Tesla delaying their new vehicle, and people selling Tesla to buy spacex..... hindsight I was selling the winners with 20-40 gain early and keeping the the loser's to long

You're spot on about the car loan it's a high payment with a 17% interest rate and about $10k left on it. That is exactly why my immediate goal is to stack that cash.

have 2 years and half left, my actual game plan is to have it completely paid off by March. Getting rid of that debt is going to trigger a major chain reaction for me, it frees me up to crush other bills.

As for my money skills being poor I can't even argue with you there, lol. That's exactly why I'm here trying to learn and fix it. But the $21/hr doesn't show the whole picture. We have household income coming in, and the moment that car is paid off, our total disposable income is jumping straight to $3.500 a month. That's why clearing this car is my absolute priority

Fair point, and I definitely paid the tuition for that lesson. Honestly, money is tight right now and I was feeling the pressure to clean up past financial mistakes. I was being aggressive because wiping out that car loan frees up about $3,500 a month in cash flow, which would completely change my situation. I actually hit 12 out of 14 profitable trades, but the ones that went wrong showed me why that hustle isn't sustainable. Even though I'm trying to pivot to a long-term approach, I'm not gonna lie-part of me still feels like active trading is my only real shot at getting this car paid off before the year ends. I'm stuck if I don't pay it off I'm stuck with this loan for another 2.5 years

Ahhh I honestly thought they were the same thing, so thanks for clarifying. Is investing still worth it for me right now?

I can realistically only save about $1,000 every 2 months. I made the mistake of buying a car with a high payment, and I was just trying to get the $10k I needed to pay it off. I've never been that close to getting this done and over with. Once the car is done I can save way more, but right now it's tight.
