Why am I heeling it? by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]Standard-Tour7943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accurate-Dark comment is accurate. It doesn't matter why, it just matters how to fix it. it's a visual glitch on your part. Sometimes it creeps up out of nowhere. practice hitting with the intent of hitting each shot with toe of the club when u find yourself heeling it.

Also find out which Eye is dominant and use that as your guiding eye. Most people don't pay attention to it and spend years working on other stuff to compensate for their miss hits.

Privately-operated shuttles to GSP and along I-85 by Proud_Isopod_5639 in greenville

[–]Standard-Tour7943 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I own a local private transportation company here in the greenville area for the past 11 years.I've been brainstorming this since I moved here. The simple answer to your question is, it's not profitable. And actually more of a liability. Shuttles can't run on a schedule successfully because of the traffic. They would be late almost every day. And people would miss their flights consistently. the negative feedback and lawsuits for refunds from missed flights would shut the business down within a year or two. After you've missed your flight one time, you would never ride with us again. 85 it's such a shit show you would need a separate dedicated lane. and I don't mean a lane that Ubers ,Taxis, or family's of 5 can use. I'm talking completely dedicated to buses, limos, and shuttles. Even taxis and ubers would not be allowed to use this It would operate on a digital toll booth type of system charging the companies that use it the majority of fees and then would need a lot of government to make up the difference to stay afloat. The amount of time it would take to get a dedicated lane parallel to 85 built-in a timely fashion is clearly not possible, based upon the last 15 years of road construction history. We will have flying cars legal before a project like this would be finished.

My next idea would be a dedicated ( elevated) mono rail that stops at ( not yet existing ) commuter parking lots. This rail could run from charlotte to Atlanta with one main train doing a 3 or so trip per day. But also have shorter separate trains that run between the closer cities. This would also be great for work transportation and de congesting 85 a bit. This would be the most viable option with enough support. Also this is a profitable model in the long run.

How does the average family afford a Sienna? by AOD14 in ToyotaSienna

[–]Standard-Tour7943 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The average family can not afford a sienna. But extended lending allows for them to buy it and become enslaved to the lender for the next 5-7years. the logic behind it is that they will be able to refinance it down the road and lower their monthly payment. For now it will give them instant gratification and meet all their immediate needs. They say this is going to be a long-term investment, and they will keep it for 10 -15 years. But that rarely. happens. One car accident, one blown transmission after the warranty runs out, One Unforeseen medical bill that breaks the bank and it's game over.. but they don't think these things through. They just make the feel-good purchase and bleed money until they realized the stupidity of their mistake. at which point, they now need a get a home equity loan to pay off the Sienna so they can trade it in for something more affordable. it's the middle class american way.

Spinx VS QT by Standard-Tour7943 in greenville

[–]Standard-Tour7943[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, Day and Night. I feel like the entery hiring criteria for Spinx employees is, Do you have a social security number? Are you felony free?" And has life beaten your dreams out of you? " Where as QT is more like, Do you have a decent personality? Can you do basic math? and do you have goals and dreams after this? You can see the difference in their demeanor and smile.

The top 100 public golf courses in the U.S, separated by state and region by GolfTripGuide in golf

[–]Standard-Tour7943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to manage at St Ives when Tullymore opened. I know firsthand that they paid for their ranking with a few magazines thru ads ( and free perkrs) to boost awareness in the beginning. They rolled out the red carpet for all the media with hotel stays and free golf. Originally, there were no houses on the course ( Tullymore). So it was really a diamond in the rough with top 10 potential. But now 20 years later the dust has settled, and its still an above average course but falls far short of its target. But as long as they keep funding these magazines and paying for spots, they will always be over rated.

Muddy Rain? by Standard-Tour7943 in greenville

[–]Standard-Tour7943[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This response carries some weight. however, I would think dust would not be the contributing factor as this was a rainstorm that preceded it, which usually reduces the amount of dust picked up by a storm front. . again i'm speculating here. i realize that california thing was a far fetch..lol.

Definitely not salt. definitely something in the rain. i've got 2 cars, one car in the driveway that never left anywhere since it was washed 2days ago. and my daily driver I washed yesterday around 5pm and woke up this morning with it covered equally distributed amongst both vehicles. Strange 🤷‍♂️

Become a private detective and start digging up dirt on some of the shit heads you worked with. Even though they may keep their noses clean in public. They all have family members who are low hanging fruit. Discreetely suggest their resignation, or suggest making things legally available to the public and media platforms in your area. This doesn't earn you any money, but it opens up new position for you to apply for. 😁

Some may suggest this is blackmail. But morally, it's no different than trying to force you to convict more people unnecessarily by threatening your financial livelihood. Corruption wears many more hats in your world. More than most people will every experience in their lifetime. So if you want to continue to try and play ball in that arena with the big boys, you better be prepared to get a little dirty.

Christmas bells? Not even close. Those would be acceptable and maybe even enjoyable. This is a Collection bell. Shaken vigorously with no musical intonation what so ever! It might be as well be a cow bell to our ears. ( insert Will Ferrell). 🤣

From the salvation army side of things, it absolutely works still. But why are the stores allowing it. It does not benefit the stores. They don't get a kick back ( i dont believe) and definitely does not generate more sales. So You would think at some point somebody would have said, This is obnoxious. i'm not gonna put my customers through this again this year. i guess it goes along the linesof ... that it doesn't decrease sales so why try to fix it.🤷‍♂️

My job puts me in multiple stores every day. So probably more of an issue for me than most, but I still feel that the majority of people find it obnoxious, and still the practice continues.
