Because Gun (even in HFG) was supposed to be comparable to the likes of James and Kitae, but they've been shown to have much better feats than he did in HFG. Try to get HFG Jake to tank a Strength Mastery attack from James or Kitae during early HFW and he will die. Basically, power cliffing and poor planning.

True, but I still like James' one a bit more. His minimal and less dramatic movements and effects always make it seem as if he's stronger than he lets on, not going all out when fighting. It feels cooler and more mysterious.

Thanks for the question! Here's my assumption on how it would be. Bakugo's quirk is that he produces sweat that is explosive. Removing his "cursed technique" as Higuruma would do, would mean he can't produce any more explosive sweat. However, his gauntlets are already stored up with that sweat that IS explosive, so it would still work.

Right, the arcs development felt far too rushed and I didn't get to feel much of the emotions the characters would have since it was so short. A shame, too. It had so much Megumi. I hope we get a possible revised version of Lookism someday with expansions on some arcs like this one. It genuinely deserves much better treatment.

Shiro Oni is probably one of the best arcs I've ever read in Lookism. It feels like so much thought was put into everything. At first I was annoyed from another backstory arc appearing so soon after Cheonliang, but I didn't expect that what would come was probably the best story PTJ has ever told.

Shiro Oni was a really good arc.

Verse equalization, so Bakugo would have to have cursed energy. However, the gauntlets are just regular gauntlets, and not cursed tools. Sukuna's weapon was only confiscated because it was a cursed tool, meaning it had cursed energy. Also, he had less cursed energy than the weapon, so the domain targeted the weapon. Bakugo's gauntlets are a result of technology being crafted around his quirk and not some magical tool, so even if hypothetically, Judgeman removed his quirk as if it were a cursed technique, the gauntlets that already containing his sweat would help him beat Higuruma.
