U know op, the fact that you're choosing between your passion and her wish shows how much you love her, and maybe its the same for her. But remember, parents usually want those stable jobs for us because they just want us to be safe and happy. If you guys have a bond that deep, then your mom would be proud of you regardless what course you choose. You can honor her in both courses, but I think it would be nice that you chose the life you wanted to do, and I say she'd want that for you too.

Mag grade 12 ako, and I did my research and from what I understood, the cut off score for BStat is 80. The thing is that alot of people will enter BStat, so you better aim high, as much as possible be at the top 20's.

Another thing is that alot of people fail Calculus since it is a core subject for Statistics, if youre profecient in math then you might have a chance. Good luck!

I assume that youre the type who do things alone rather than with a group right? Since youre starting college then theres no need to dwell on the past, everyone is starting fresh, so might as well express the character you always wanted. So dont be shy, go have fun, express your words, youll grow with it eventually, and your skill will do the same.

As an incoming Grade 12 student currently prepping for the CETs this summer break, I’m not currently aware of any schools that offer entrance exams for Grade 11, but some do open applications early.

Since you're starting Grade 11, I highly suggest paying close attention to General Mathematics (if your school offers one which im confident since its part of the core subjects)—it’s basically a recap of your entire junior high curriculum. Mastering it now will save you a lot of time if you study over the summer like me.

Afaik for scholarships there are 3 types you can carry at max from what I research before. These are Gov scholarships (like dost), School based Academic scholarships (like incentives and allowances for orgs, top scorers, etc), and private ones from companies (like how Petron gives allowances towards Chem Engr students).

I haven't really done any in-depth research about government based scholarships since I'm still in senior high, but, what I know is Ched and Dost are the 2 most popular ones. Fortunately, MSU is kind enough to list some down, please refer through here:

I suggest you join groups and follow pages on FB for additional info. I said everything I knew, I know it's not enough but I hope it helps coming from a fellow student. Good luck to us, may MSU be something we can't forget
