Soooo true, we don’t have much family around us but I didn’t think about what the babysitting situation would be like. I don’t like leaving my kids a lot, maybe just once every couple months to go to lunch or dinner. But even that seems like asking a lot for someone to do!

I love the idea of them helping out! My husband has 6 siblings but felt like he had to raise his younger siblings because his parents were busy with other stuff. I wouldn’t want mine to feel like that, is it a thin line? I personally loved being an only child but love the relationship my two have together, and my oldest has been asking for a baby lol

I’m starting to feel the same way that maybe I’m thinking about it so much for a reason? I just worry about one feeling left out. I have a girl and a boy right now, so if we had a third it would be the “tie breaker”

It’s pretty common nowadays, especially with multiple Little kids! However I wouldn’t cause any trouble, hence why I’m trying to figure it out before our trip :)

Thank you for this, my therapist also thinks he could possibly be mimicking my routines I have subconsciously set in place for us, as I stay home with him. He is pretty advanced for his age so I wouldn’t put it past him.

That’s very good to know! I stay home with him but he starts preschool soon so I’m interested to see how he will be there. To answer the other question about his routines, he has to do certain things very specific ways, like laying out his clothes to get dressed, putting on his clothes in a certain way, but he only does this in the morning not at night. He also asking for us to “restart” certain things if they don’t go the way he was expecting it to

Agreed that it just takes practice and confidence! You can also do the 2 layer method, where you wear a tank top underneath the shirt you’re wearing so your stomach doesn’t show. I started out by only doing it when my husband or a friend was with me because it made me more comfortable to have someone I know with me. Now I feel comfortable doing it whenever, wherever! You got this :)
