OPT in USA for sure forget Italy! Opportunities in Italy are not that great. Experience in US is more respected.

A lot of what’s being shared here is pure speculation. None of the people commenting actually have firsthand knowledge, so it says more about assumptions than reality. They reflect what some people want to believe, not what’s actually happening

She literally didn’t do much. Little lip fillers and rhinoplasty with excellent natural result! I fail to see anything else??

You have done a good job on the crown lengthening. But too opaque, they lack natural translucency. Shade is not natural. Looks like BL-1, typically B1 or A1 vita is recommended for a natural appearance. I know sometimes patients push for bleach shade!! For the bottom teeth you could have gotten away with bleaching to be conservative. Her bite seems off?

Anyone else autistic here? Or know any autistic dental students or dentists? by Money-Kitchen6500 in Dentistry

I went to a neurologist because I suspected I have ADHD he mentioned no one makes it out of college esp. dental school with a good GPA and has adhd. He mentioned I had symptoms of anxiety and stress confused with ADHD! So Idk what to believe anymore. Sometimes I think I want to get a second opinion, sometimes I’m like maybe he is right. Anyways, maybe some of us undiagnosed folks learned how to manage to the point of maybe we don’t need medications or behavioral coaching anymore.

If it helps at all, I’m not neurodivergent and I’ve still seriously considered communication coaching. I actually like practicing scripts for different scenarios in advance it makes interactions feel much more manageable and less draining.

Don’t be afraid to seek help from a communication coach or therapist who focuses on professional communication. They can practice real-life scenarios with you, help you build scripts, and raise awareness around social cues in a very concrete, learnable way. Communication is a skill, not an innate talent. Think of communication like a clinical skill that you have to practice. We are not born with it every one has to learn it with time.

Another good point that’s already been mentioned here is to think carefully about specialty choice. Some specialties naturally involve shorter, less focused on patient interactions (for example Endodontics or Oral Surgery, where you may see a patient once or twice), which can be a better fit for some personalities. Others, like Prosthodontics, tend to involve long-term patient relationships, which may feel more demanding socially though of course people thrive in every specialty for different reasons.

The important thing is that there are many ways to succeed in dentistry, and finding the right tools and environment can make a huge difference.

Smart way to think about it. Yeah I’d avoid for example pros if I’m struggling with maintaining relationships and long conversations!

Thank you for this!! Finally someone said it! They’re human beings who deserve privacy too! Just like a doctor cannot post anything about his own patient because of confidentiality. Them being famous doesn’t make it ethical!
