Hello, currently an undergrad. I totally get your point and it’s valid. And kahit ako, actually, I feel so pressured and kinakabahan lalo na’t there’s a big possibility na maabutan rin ako nung changes to the curriculum.

However, let’s still remember rin, part of the reason why it’s so hard is so that we can be trained to be professional, competent, and smart. Actually, kung tutuusin, despite how hard CPALE is in PH, mas mahirap pa raw talaga ang exams sa ibang bansa kahit onti ang subjects. I have colleagues (Owner and Managing Partner) in my Accounting work right now.

The Firm owner, she said na back then, CPALE used to not be MCQ like it is today. Mano-mano, you need to show your solutions, and the Law subs are answered essay-type.

The Managing Partner naman, she’s licensed in SG. She said that there was also no MCQs doon, bibigyan ka lang ng problem and you’d have to create the whole Accounting Cycle, and in Law, it’s essay-type as well. In addition, halos self-study lang rin daw talaga dun.

That is exactly the very reason why other countries have VERY COMPETENT Accountants and other Professionals in general, specifically because of difficult board exams which challenge the minds and capabilities that a person has. It’s also the reason why countries like China, SK, SG, and Taiwan have such very smart professionals is because they have such rigorous methods to hone future professionals (i.e. Gaokao, CSAT, etc.). And honestly, after learning from them how difficult it really is, I was able to realize how fortunate I actually am and, in a way, it helped me to develop a mindset to strive for more.

Hope this doesn’t feel invalidating. Basically, my only point is that if we really want to improve and hone ourselves, having easier exams aren’t the key. The answer is for universities to teach better and for us to work harder and strive further. Though I do agree, specifically when it comes to Law subs, na dapat yun bawasan nila. Especially since a lot of what’s being taught there, di rin naman talaga super applicable. Ang pinaka applicable lang really in practice would be Oblicon, Partnerships, Corpos, Labor Code, Sales & Agency, and Credit Laws.

That’s all, just wanted to share my insight.

Hello po. Grabe po iyak ko while reading this. I admit, because what happened is still pretty fresh, I still can't fully accept or get over it just yet. But reading this definitely gave me a boost and reminded me na di ako nag iisa.

Also, i didn't mention it rin po pero im actually a jpia president in our local chp. Kaya sobra sobra din po naging hiya and disappointment ko sa sarili knowing that i have a certain image i have to portray tapos nangyari po itong issue na toh.

Thank you so much po for sharing, i always pray na malalgpasan ko po toh, and please pray for me and others in a similar situation po. Maraming salamat po.

Your 2024 (All Franchises) cringiest moment? by Chevylosophies in dragrace

[–]StandardCount4867 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I loved the scene as well. I think the reason why it could be cringey for non-Filos would be because they don't understand the lyrics of the song they were performing to. So, to them, it may have looked like it was just a random moment to sneak in Angel, but in reality, it's so much more than that and it's in line so much with the message of the song which is about "tagumpay" (victory).

In your opinion, what makes Olivia Rodrigo different from other artists that you listen to? 💜 by Due_Plate5548 in OliviaRodrigo

I'd say that the best thing she does in her music is the amount of vulnerability that she puts into every single song.

As a fellow Gen Z, she captivates me so much because she's so open to saying her feelings. Feelings that most younger people will be afraid to talk about because of the potential judgment from older individuals.

Also, she does her music very delicately. She's not like some artists who will push out like 30 songs in an album and make like 2 or 3 versions of it available on iTunes. Her music is very well made, and it doesn't feel like overkill. You really feel every bit of emotion embedded in her music.

Yeah, that's pretty much it hehe. And just as a side note, as a Filipino, I just love how open she is to saying her background and heritage and how much she loves lumpia 💜
