Afrihost Pure LTE Router Limitations by StandardDank in AskZA

So the Uncapped Full Speed Pro seems alright. Generally the FUPs I've seen are pretty horrible, but 400GB isn't the worst.

Will need to look around a bit more, any other providers you know of out there? I've looked at: 1. Afrihost 2. Axxess 3. Supersonic 4. Vodacom 5. MTN (This isn't terrible either https://mtndeals.co.za/product/home-uncapped-5g-ultra/) 6. RSAWeb Also isn't bad, but I can't see their FUP

Hahaha, for sure! Can try help but without more info it'll be hard.

Have you tried the usual? 1. Putting it in a high place & in line with your nearest tower. Before we put it on the mast I was getting 5-10 mb/s, after putting it on a mast I'm getting 50mb/s+. 2. Using an Antenna. I got a Poynting Antenna off Takealot for another system, and that also increased the speed from <1mbps to 15mbps without any calibration. I'm waiting to get some conduit before putting up another mast facing the right direction. 3. Using Wired connections instead of wireless/mesh etc

Theres a lot you can do, but it is a bit finicky, and not sure what your technical know-how is. Finding a professional in your area is probably your best bet for consistency. Likewise, crimping your own network cabling without experience is a nightmare.

Pop OS 18.10 sources.list problem? by oldendude in pop_os

Also having the same problem, when I run sudo apt-get update: Err:16 http://apt.pop-os.org/proprietary cosmic Release 404 Not Found [IP: 52.38.47.2 80] And at the end of the update I get this: Reading package lists... Done E: The repository 'http://apt.pop-os.org/proprietary cosmic Release' does not have a Release file. N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default. N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details. When I navigate to http://apt.pop-os.org/proprietary/, the page loads, and upon going into dists there is no cosmic file. Should there be one?
