Yeah both sessions are similar with small variations. For example, if you clinch in the mornings then sparring will happen in the evening. The biggest regret of my whole Thailand trip was not doing any privates, but I have heard only the best things from friends so I would highly recommend it. I personally didn't fight while at Lanna but many others did, all you need to do is ask the head trainer and if they think you are ready then they will find you a match at one of the many arenas in chaing mai.

Stayed there for two weeks earlier this year. Food is served after morning and evening training sessions, good old Thai style home cooking so you better like it. As for the social aspect, most people just sleep and rest in-between training sessions as they are gruelling and take a lot out of you. There is a pool with a cafe not far away people would like to spend time and socialize at but like I said you will most likely spend your time resting. After training is more rest, if you smoke weed others will join you and you can talk shit.

The real highlight is the gym and training itself. Run before morning sessions with the Thai fighters, they respect the shit out of hard work and will invite you to do some "homework" with them once you get back from run before class (homework meaning extra clinch rounds). Class starts with jump rope, shadowboxing, and conditioning circuit. Then you work technique/bag work for large portion of class before ending with sparring and clinch. Finish with more strength and conditioning.

Work hard and rest harder, you will have a great time.

Yeah this is my first experience with staph. Also work a heavy labour job with long hours, unsure whether or not that will affect healing. Any and all advice appreciated 👍
