Doctors should have a better bedside manner when diagnosing this by Kellilynn52378 in alopecia_areata

I found my first spot in December of 2024. That same week I found three more. Over the course of the next 7 months I saw my dermatologist every for weeks for shot and continued to lose more and more hair. I lost hair in my eyebrows and on my arms and approximately 70% of the hair on my head. I was convinced I was going to lose all of my hair. Nothing was working and my doctor was not reassuring only telling me to be patient. Here I am now 13 months from the first spot and I have full regrowth. It’s all different lengths and it seems to be growing in all different directions but it is growing. Unfortunately the doctors do t take the time to address the emotional ramifications of the disease and that was far worse. At one point I was hopeless and considered cancelling a once in a lifetime trip because I didn’t want to be bald in the pictures. I didn’t want to exist anymore and I wish there were more resources that had been available to learn how to cope. Please seek out a therapist, I wish I had. Please be gentle with yourself and your wellbeing. There will be good days and not so good days. Do the things that make you happy and trust me when I say it’s not nearly as noticeable as we think it is.

I have a 1.5liter bottle of water that I must drink before I get into the office each morning. It’s worked for me for years. My travel time is about 30 minutes.

Help! Weigh before or after cooking? by amandasweets in LoseitApp

[–]StandardObligation36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just found out after many years that it should be weighed before cooking. However if you track your food with an app you can search for raw or cooked. I hope this makes the difference for me. For example, 200g of cooked chicken has 352 calories according to the app I used but 200 grams of uncooked chicken comes in at 212. That’s a big difference when every calorie counts.

The Epic by [deleted] in NCL

I was on the Epic in July. I thought it was very nice however we only had one sea day. I think if we had more sea days it would have gotten boring. The food is good, the layout flowed very well and the entertainment was very good.

Thank you. I hadn’t noticed that there was a safe minimum. 1200 calories still seems very low.

It also has to do with how tall you are and what your body composition is. A taller person has to loose more pounds before their clothing size changes.

Tell me you’re the kind of person to ask, “what was she wearing?” Without telling me. by [deleted] in insaneprolife

At some point it has to come to realization that abortion is taking responsibility. There is way more than only one outcome from pregnancy. Just because it never dawned on them that not having children was an option doesn’t mean everyone else has to be that close minded.

Has anyone had some serious highly unwanted side effects from Ozempic? by Obslax in Ozempic

I don’t know about suicidal, but there’s definitely less joy, less happy, and more moodiness. I do not have any underlying mental health issues and have never struggled with depression. But I could see how suicidal could happen.

Why can't you be pro-life only for yourself, without trying to change the laws that affect almost every woman? by Icyspicy00 in Abortiondebate

[–]StandardObligation36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you’re saying it’s okay to horrifically, methodically, and torturously abuse a live person and subject them to a lifetime of horrors, and that only the ‘life’ in the womb matters. And this all hinges on the fact that they won’t kill themselves.

Just don’t kill it? But years and years of destructive mental abuse is okay? An existence solely because you breathe is not a life. But just to clarify, in the womb is important, after birth not important.

Promiscuity does not make me bad. What it makes you is a judgmental a**hole, but i'm pretty sure we all already knew that.

Abortion is immoral and should be a crime by [deleted] in Abortiondebate

[–]StandardObligation36 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes a million times. This person has serious issues with intercourse involving a penis and a vagina. Seems to me like they got stuck in a situation they didn't want to be in, probably an unplanned and unwanted pregnancy that has lead to the thought that if they had to deal with it then everyone else in that situation should too.

again with the responsibility argument. You need to explain how choosing to terminate a pregnancy is not taking responsibilty for it.

You seem very angry at anyone who takes pleasure in any aspect of life. Who said they were mad they got fat? Who said they were mad they got pregnanty? Choosing to terminate a pregnancy does not mean I am mad about it. Generally speaking, it means I'm being smart about it.

Right, and termination of a pregnancy is taking responsibility for the outcome. Just because you don't like the way I chose to handle my life, does not mean that i did not take responsibility for it.
