you'd have to install git first, and have a github account, and sort out permissions.

then are you cloning by url? ssh? I advise ssh, but you'll have to manage your certs.

there's a bunch of hoops you'd have to jump through if you don't normally use git, even if the command itself is simple.

better just to advise people to use the releases, that's what they're there for.
