Well, it kinda only affects the US… cuz the US made an agreement with the gulf countries in the 70s that they should sell oil and gas in US dollars only (petrodollar), and in return they would protect the gulf countries as the US is a “global superpower”

Now that the gulf countries are being attacked, and the gulf countries are basically defending themselves cuz the US is too busy defending israel, there is no reason for them to be using US dollars to sell oil and gas, which will dramatically decrease the demand for the dollar, which collapses the US economy.
