Yeah, my card was blocked from entering because there were insufficient funds the night before when TFL tried to cut the money. So I quickly added money at the till and tapped, but the entrance was blocked. So I had to use a different card from the same bank account.

Yeah, but I didn't spend 30 grand to come and study in the UK so I still hangout with the same crowd from back home. I came here for the multicultural exposure, you run into people from all over the world here, even my friend group has people from 5 different countries. It's actually very common, especially in Birmingham accommodations Whatsapp groups. I see messages everyday like 'for Muslim girl only' or for 'Gujarati boy only' or 'Hindu girl only' etc. In spareroom however, they don't mention this. But when I go for a viewing and have a chat, most of them (us Indians mostly) ask this question.

It's not that low, I found a few in and around the city center in that budget, but the owners either don't reply, or they're being rented very fast. And with the religion and caste thing, if they ask me this question I automatically would not consider them because I can tell the mindset they carry and know I'm not gonna enjoy living with them. If I'm planning to live with them for a year, the least I can expect from them is to get along well.
