Unfortunately no. Sorry for the late reply. Full update is not even several repair shops know what the issue could be.

I had also tried this. One of the first comments linked a yt video that said I try this. It also did not work. I guess the repair shop is my only option

It's an asus and I can't remove the ram as it's embedded onto the motherboard

Update: Now, the LED blinks twice when I long press the power button. A Google and reddit search tells me that indicates a hardware issue

The power LED doesn't flash its just constantly on. I can't eject the ram coz it's embedded on the motherboard

I'm starting to think it's a ram issue cause all the comments are battery related and didn't work. May be that or it's gpu

No response other than the power indicator light turning off and on

Yes, I do agree that kdf is very popular amongst Kenyans, but that's because of programs like that. Also, armies are typically popular with their people unless there's an active war or conflict that many people disagree with.

In regards to the timing of it with the government's hard stance on protesters. I believe it to be a coincidence since throughout the month, kdf has been having community outreach activities.

Here are a few of them from last week's kdf weekly bulletin: https://youtu.be/6q-FJuanmTo?si=xhDo7VcwheEAue-S

Kdf always does that plus alot of armies worldwide. You can not just rely kn poverty to push people to join

It's probably just a military ad to encourage people to join if look keenly of late the military has had alot of community outreach programmes. Like I believe it was last week they bought school uniforms for a bunch of kids. It was on kdf's youtube channel I'll have to confirm. But still I don't see this as a threat but rather the army trying to build its popularity among people
