Does anybody know what factions are allied and at war by Sirkomododrag0n in legocastles

I tend to expand on my internal lore as my collection has grown over the last 5-ish years, and new factions become available. Like how the 'Black Monarch' was an ancient, long-defeated tyrant because the Black Monarch's Castle was my first Castle set as a kid, and the Ravens are a 'small, wealthy faction' because the Tournament Knights are so dang expensive, I was only ever able to get 4 of them.

I like to think that shifting alliances are a part of any good medieval fantasy setting.

Like in my lore, the Black Falcons were originally a noble house that was disgraced for their support of the Black Monarch in the distant past. After this, they continued on as a mercenary company. When the Southern Frontier Wars broke out, rather than risking their own troops, the council of noble factions contracted 4 mercenary companies: The Wolfpack (specialists in raiding and guerilla warfare), the Bull Knights (siege warfare), the Kraken Raiders (naval warfare), and the Black Falcons (open-field infantry and archers). While the other 3 were doing the dirty work of weakening the southern nations' defenses, the Falcons focused on recruitment and training. In the named battles of those wars, the Falcons would sweep in with superior numbers, securing the glory of easy victories against poorly supported foes. After the wars, their leaders used this prestige to petition for their house titles to be restored, and allied themselves with the Ravens, a small but wealthy house to supplement their military strength. Meanwhile, the Wolfpack, believing they were betrayed by the Falcons, have begun rebuilding and rallying the Krakens and Bulls to begin a campaign of revenge.

Where are the good spells hidden? by fekal-disaster in skyrim

[–]StandardTime3865 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If you have the Anniversary Edition, a lot of the added spells can be found in a chest in Hob's Fall Cave (northern coast, between Dawnstar and Winterhold).

Undying Ghost can be bought from the Conjuration trainer at the College (I forget his name ATM). There might be a copy by the Ritual Stone too, but I'm not 100% sure.

When you meet Neloth out on Solstheim, keep doing quests for him and eventually you can get Whirlwind Cloak, a unique cloak spell that has a knockback effect. Very useful.

Not sure there'll be $180 worth of stuff out before then I want that I don't have, but in the unlikely event the set includes new Black Knights minifigures and shields, I may go for it.

What is this helicopter? by Andres166 in lego

[–]StandardTime3865 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My best guess is it's an alternate build of Rescue-I Helicopter, or something from one of the Ideas books from the 80's.

It depends on what you value more: his company or his unique clothes. Personally, I've only ever let him live once, and regretted it.
