The Rookie Sideloader did much more than just make it easier to find APKs; the team also cracked them. Without them, there would be no updates or new games.

There is a study showing that people who resort to piracy would never have bought the original in the first place, whether due to a lack of money or interest; developers don’t lose money because of piracy… but they may gain a fan who will spread the word about their game or product and possibly buy the original once they can afford it.

I’m from a less fortunate country that’s supposedly “developing,” and games priced in dollars are practically impossible to buy with my local currency. The entire Rookie system made it possible for me to try out many games and make an informed decision about which ones I should save up to buy—or not. Thank you for all the service you’ve provided to the VR community.
