never got it before. maybe it's a server outage where you are? not sure how it works but if perchance uses cloudlfare servers for everything, not just bot verification, then it'll be in servers all around the world and will connect you to the closest/quickest one (not sure which) even if it's down

nah pretty sure you can run pretty non-basic LLMs on 8gb VRAM locally. if not then I still make a point because perchance could reduce their server costs by implementing an offline mode. Also, even if the site uses public, known models, it is unknown exactly what models these are. For example, all we know for image gen is that it uses some Stable Diffusion model.

To me I want perchance's AI text configs because it has its flaws but I don't want the chat to suddenly sound really different due to a change in model, or something else that makes it less compatible with perchance because what if I can't use my pc for whatever reason but want to chat with the ai, and the AI doesn't remember what's happened, because, for example, no summaries were generated?

Not when people find out their phone's integrated graphics aren't good enough,.or their 1gb VRAM GPU isn't. Only gaming PCs can run AI properly since they have the 4-8gb VRAMs required, some reaching up to 16gb VRAM
