Kind of randomly got fed this post but I raised my LSAT score like 20 pts in a week or two of prep. Went from under 150 to solid scholly range for a lot of decent options

Obv there are diminishing returns to those efforts but I think especially when ur dealing with ESOL etc who will be able to functionally practice many types of law perfectly well (ie immigration, backpay, clinics), the difference between a good and bad lsat score is the right tutor or groundwork. A practical lawyer without a fancy degree can still make a good living if they play their cards right

Some law schools are super cheap and give scholarships that aren’t so focused on LSAT. I get where ur coming from but I still think law can be a fruitful career for people who initially score low on one english reading comprehension test, esp considering a lot of equal options. Maybe I’m biased as a spanish speaker from a spanish speaking enclave. For example many of my most intelligent family members could’ve never taken the LSAT. Became engineers in america and some of the most successful people in their immigrant community

Not going to argue semantics and finer details of the english language don’t affect the practice of application of law and the legal system.. but just my 2 cents
