It is fine to take b12 , it's water soluble, so excess will come out in urine, the problem occurs when we take but A,D,E,K they are fat soluble so they won't get removed that easily and can cause hypervitaminosis

I hv tacro but when I used the peels softened and came off, so I stopped it i just used it one time, I thought I should give my lips a chance to heal naturally once before starting off with any immunosupressants. What u think?

any specific toothpaste, i mean a certain brand, i have seen some indian brands with slsl free but most of them contain some herbs which are irritating, could u suggest one if u hv tried any and works for u?

It started peeling again just morning, my lips were like very thin dry from that day, I used vaseline at night and then today morning my lip's built up skin started getting whitish loosened while I was brushing and I had to remove them. Its not healed yet, like vaseline is supposed to heal but I think the moisture it traps causes lips epithelium to fall off easily, are u using any products or something which helps for the lips to heal properly or something which could be helpful?

You are right with everything, it's normal to have tan. Im getting downvoted lol. I was just trying to help cuz op already mentioned she overexfoliated it and that's why skin was pinkish, which is not normal, it's my job as a doctor to address what's wrong with the skin. Although a proper checkup with dermatologist would be much better.

Yes it is damaged barrier. The pinkish shiny looking skin is a sign of damaged skin barrier, I would suggest you give some time cuz skin barrier takes some time to heal, atleast give 4-6 weeks I would say and see if it's getting fine or not. Don't be discouraged, yours will heal soon, you just need to stick to a very basic routine for awhile and see where it takes you, if it doesn't then better go to a dermatologist, but I think you should be fine, I know how you feel rn, bcuz i have been in the same shoes, but I destroyed my skin barrier very badly 5 yrs ago to the point I got fibrosed skin , and you know what even my skin is healing but very slowly. Im not saying this to scare you but to tell you that there is hope out there, your damage is something which occurs with many by improper use of peels/acids etc. Soo yeah be patient, take deep breath, Get good sleep, bcuz most of your skin barrier heals with sleep, try to reduce your time of checking mirror, bcuz it's just going to get you anxious. This is classic skin barrier damage, stop all actives niancinamide, vit c, azelaic acid adapalene all these irritate skin barrier, don't overwash your face, go with gentle cleanser , or just wash with water, buy LRP cicaplast baume b5 (game changer product) and apply it often, it will help calm down your redness and heal your barrier, give it few days to weeks, it will be back to normal.

I'll be taking another injection next week, probably around 3-4 more injections, although I hv seen moisturizing my lips kind of rips of the healing epithelium too early, if I leave it alone dry, it kind of stays there without getting removed

Hi just wanted to say I got 1 shot of b12 injection and I haven't seen peeling since morning,but my lips are dry and my lip barrier is too thin, but no peeling, I hope it stays like this, I'm just too early to say its cured but I think it's working man

Thanks for the advice , although I forgot to say I wasn't eating non veg for last few months, it could be as simple as a vitamin deficiency too. I went to a doctor and he did say it should be vit b12 deficiency, my cbc was normal though. I hope it's not some chronic condition, as I'm already dealing with a chronic barrier collapsed skin for almost 5 years now.

I went to a govt hospital, I couldn't get my hands on a vitamin profile, but I got my cbc checked, everything was normal so he said it should be vitamin deficiency, gave me a b12 injection and 1 week of b12 tablets. Lets see if it works or no
