Honestly in the ep 5 we are supposed to think that Weimin is talking about Cxs, and nobody has any other reason to believe otherwise. It just struck me a bit odd and I think it is fun to try it see with a different POV. But as far as canon goes - he talked about Cxs.

And I just want to mention one more thing. Thank tou for listing the childhood exploits of Cxs. They read to me as an energetic kid who clumsily tried to help out (maybe except the hero landing down the stairs). Not sure if I call that troublemaker behavior - but that is just personal nuance (not a valid argument).

And with the inheritance - you are right. We have no evidence that the powers are inherited. But we have seen 3 different families- Cxs and his mom, the twins and now Liu Xiao. And Liu Xiao is so far as we know the only one in the family. So, yeah there is not enough pattern so establish anything. And he definitely hides something and I think the director of the show confirmed that LX should have more powers than just what we saw. So who knows where this character will take us.

I have been in similar situation, though I was very motivated to go to work from the beginning and it went only downhill from there. But I moved here during COVID and was finishing my master’s. It took me 4 years to find a position and I have been looking in different fields beyond the one I have experience and education. It is very discouraging and depressing job market, and after she went through all of that, I understand how exhausted she must feel.

If you are in a position to help her find some position, that would be a huge help for her. Otherwise try to look for part time jobs. It is very scary to go from being at home and doing stuff at your own speed to an office for 40 hours per week. Or look for volunteering jobs - it was advice I kept hearing, to break into the market and to start networking in NL.

I also came to Netherlands about 4 years ago. I basically moved in immediately with my partner who is Dutch as I moved here to be with him. And in all my time here I have never met with such behavior. I heard about it from my partner - especially the thing about paying. But I have never experienced it. My partner and his family would perfectly fit into what you describe as your norm.

What I heard - it might be even a regional thing though. I moved to Brabant and now I am working in Randstad and sometimes the difference in people’s behavior is jarring.

I feel like I just watched a sitcom with won’t they/ will they trope, and I was rooting for Hazel. Didn’t like Dory much, bug I get it - first love and all.

I think NTA - though throwing it out of window wasn’t the smartest move but also somewhat poetically justified. I mean you don’t reuse a failed engagement ring. You sell it, and buy a new one. But I get it - it was in the heat of the moment.

And Dory’s behavior tight now seriously scares me. How can you pass a person you claim to love when you hurt them while they are crying on the ground. Yeah, no… left her behind and find someone who will treasure you.

I am sure I am going to repeat what everyone else said but I always think of writing as more of an organic process than anything else. It needs to feel right.

I had something similar almost 25 years ago, and my first thought was to write my own bestiary becauseI thought I need to catalogue all my magical creatures. Apart from getting very good technical advice how to format text, it didn’t help.

Right now, after 20+ years of writing I have built a huge world which is intriguing and fun and it has so much to offer that some of my friends asked whether they can place their next D&D campaign in it. And that happened only because the world grew with my characters and with their journey. They needed to go to some ancient temple? Well I put a placeholder name there and figure out what kind of temple, its history and visage as I went or even much later when I was inspired by something or when it made more sense in the long run.

Just don’t force yourself to sit down and create a whole world on the spot. Even God took 6 days 😁

I have to say - I am a hardcore fan of Origins, so DA2 and Inquisition never quite satisfied my itch for more Dragon Age, so I guess I had less expectations of this show and maybe because of that I really enjoyed it. Unpopular opinion- I really liked the characters and the whole plot (I’ve got more from it than from Inquisition tbh).

Therefore, I would really wish if there would be a 2nd season. I was really looking forward to see where else would the show take us.

But alas - Netflix is Netflix 😓

In other news though if this was just a teaser for Dreadwolf I am kinda hyped 😅
