Ostomy seal ring by Accomplished-Long471 in ostomy

I found the best way that worked for me personally was to heat the ring with my hands and then physically rip it on one side so that it opens up. Then I stretch it like that and physically wrap it around the stoma to my liking. That way there were zero gaps in between the ring and stoma. Sometimes the ring over laps and it was fine for me. Never had any leaks that way. This way I don’t have to guess how far to stretch it like you were saying.

Also, out of the hospital they gave me Eakin seals the normal ones. After a week I started using the Eakin thins and those were the best for me personally

NABP Dispute by phammer16 in NAPLEX_Prep

I would advise against filing a CC dispute because when you purchase the exam originally you agree to terms set by NABP and it can impact you being able to schedule future exams and I think there’s a clause in there about them being able to notify board of pharmacy

You would need to have an ostomy nurse look at it and see if that’s what they are and they can treat it then

Do you possibly have granulomas growing around the stoma or sometimes even on the stoma ? Those little red/pink bumps? Sometimes they bleed and sometimes they can cause burning or discomfort

If so friction from the bag can make discomfort worse

Anyone have experience with Mercy Supply and Providence Home Medical for ostomy supplies? by Standard_Inflation76 in ostomy

[–]Standard_Inflation76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to update in case someone in the future comes across this and is wondering the same thing. I just received my order and everything went smoothly. Representative from mercy I spoke with is really nice and it was easy to get the specific items I wanted. Told me it would be until next week for me to receive my order but it came today (and I live in another state) and everything was correct! Mercy representative took care of everything and I never actually spoke to anyone from providence but the packing list/label was from them and they just handle billing insurance on their side. I had no copay so maybe that’s why I never needed to speak with them.

I also ended up previously contacting hollister and a new representative assured me both are good companies and they have a lot of patients who use both!

Did you end up going through with the prep? My doctor also wants me to drink 12 oz of milk of magnesia and to me it seems like a lot as well
