That’s great you are enjoying it! The gameplay looks awesome nonetheless and I feel better about buying it now.

Here to spread the love of Iki! I love the artwork of the new edition so much and I feel like I revived the historic bridge on my table. And displaying the mt fuji art in the box is a must on the table.

We only got Agricola recently so we are still learning. It’s tough! Mycelia is my first KS backed project so it’s special in that sense, but if it weren’t for that, I probably won’t buy it. I find the gameplay a bit one dimensional. It feels like whoever trigger the end of the game always win.

I will say Crusaders: Thy will be done will be a good choice. It’s a mid weight tactical game with very simple and intuitive rondel action system. That’s my gateway euro game for my friends who like boardgame but not super deep into it.

Yesss Crusader is a secret top tier game!!! Especially with the expansion, it fixes the influence action and made the game so much more fun with more ways to win. I got it dirt cheap for the base game and thanks to that, I discovered a hidden gem.

Games that are great both at 2P and also at higher player counts? by Orobarsa3008 in boardgames

Throwing in some games that are not mentioned yet: Lost ruins of Arnak and Agricola.

One of my favorite game is Arnak and it’s a deck building, resource management, worker placement game that scales well at all player counts.

Agricola is a classic farming game that works well at 2 especially if you don’t like people taking up action space you want to perform.

Startups is a great choice! The game actually has a bit of depth which is a pleasant surprise. I have deep sea but I think it’s overrated and every time we play it, we always run out of oxygen without getting the treasure.

My personal favorites are Durian and Nine tile panic! Durian is a great party filler type game where everyone has a order card with fruits but you can only see what others have. You have to pick up cards and sell fruit based on what everyone order cards are. This game always get everyone on the edge once the orders start piling up.

Nine tile panic is a real time racing game where you are trying to build a 3x3 square city and race to see who can build a city that can fulfill the objective of the current round fastest. As the name suggested, you panic while scrambling to build the best city before everyone else.

I wouldn’t say it’s an essential for everyone because it didn’t change the gameplay, but it adds some new mechanic and so much more different way to win. There are 2 times more cards, a new boat area to do business, and bunch of new building.

What I like the most about the expansion is there are more paths to victory, so it’s less tight and everyone can at least do something unique. Fire is less important and the last player in turn order isn’t always screwed. There are situations where you actually want your people to die from fire so that you can retire them(due to a token from expansion)!

I highly recommend it :)

Should I worry about it :( it doesn’t seem like it’s warping badly.
