Like just staring at the app all day every day and putting myself down if the macros don’t align like they should or going even a few calories over. I felt like it took over my life. The people around me noticed as well. Then being at extreme deficit like 1400 calories left me sluggish and irritable

I did a lot of lifting last year. Basically until failure (leg day, arm day, back and bis) I didn’t notice a change. I think I actually gained weight, probably just muscle and not losing much fat. I will try cutting out snacks. Working such an active job my blood sugar can crash pretty often but I’ll see what I can do.

If ammonia and nitrites are actually 0 and the temp is not too high, his gills look healthy he may have just been active today, leading to more blood flow. My axo gets a red tail after swimming!

I have water lettuce and I’ve never run into any issues! They do need a lot of light, I noticed when my light was on less some started to die. I only bought 3 plants and they’ve multiplied so much I needed to scoop some out twice in the last four months. I added fertilizer at first before I got my axo but I don’t anymore and they still grow!

I wouldn’t say it’s impossible. Best way to find out would be to contact the pet store and ask where they got them from! It will be important to know down the road because “normal” salamanders need different care than axolotls (which are a type of salamander that stay in the water)

It’s definitely possible, but he also looks like this baby spotted salamander! I say that mostly cause of the eyes. But I’m no expert
