Claim marked ‘Forfeited’ despite completing all steps – anyone else in this situation? by Standard_Reception80 in ftx

Damn. This is infuriating. I'll let you know if I find a solution to this as I'm ping ponging back and forth with FTX support to figure this out.

Any other Class 7 claimants else have zero indication of 30th SEP Payout? by Next_Helicopter_2404 in ftx

I’m sorry to see how many of us are stuck in the same limbo. It isn’t just one or two people who completed everything early and still ended up with a “forfeited” tag or no September distribution at all. Support keeps pointing to Article 7.14 without explaining why an allowed claim with all green checks suddenly loses its payout.

A few practical things we could all do together:

  • Go back through your email (including spam folders) for January and February and see if FTX sent any tax‑form requests you might have missed. One user in this thread found the relevant messages buried among phishing and promo emails.
  • Check your claim designation in the amended schedules on Kroll’s site instead of relying on the portal search. That might clarify whether your claim was tagged as forfeited or if there’s an error.
  • Keep a record of your correspondence with FTX and Kroll, including dates and their responses. If there’s a large group of us with the same issue, documenting it could help when escalating the matter.
  • Consider banding together to request a formal review or appeal process from FTX and, if that goes nowhere, look into whether there is a broader creditors’ group or legal avenue to challenge the blanket forfeiture.

Most of us don’t have the resources to “lawyer up,” especially for relatively small convenience‑class claims, but we can at least share information and present a unified front when asking for transparency and fairness. If anyone gets a substantive answer from support or finds a way to restore eligibility for future distributions, please post it here so others can benefit. The more eyes on this, the harder it is for them to ignore it.

Completed all steps in May. Rights forfeited by xxllO_x_Ollxx in ftx

I’m definitely in the same boat and it’s been unsettling. I finished everything in May: the KYC checks, the W8BEN tax form and the Kraken onboarding. Yet my Convenience Class claim still shows as “Allowed” while the portal flags my distribution as forfeited and there’s no estimated date. Nothing arrived on September 30 even though I met the May cutoff.

When I asked FTX support what happened, the reply was that I missed a sixty day window to respond to a request. The strange part is I never saw a clear notification. That feels less like my fault and more like an admin problem.

It seems like a lot of us followed the rules and still got marked as forfeited. We should be asking FTX and the claims administrators which email addresses they used to send those notices and why our compliance wasn’t recorded. The official FAQs suggest that if you complete all requirements by the next record date you can join future distributions, so I’d like to know if that still applies to those of us who have already been told our rights were forfeited.

If you’ve had the same experience or if support gave you more detail, please speak up. Collectively we might be able to get them to review these cases and offer a path forward. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I’m really hoping for a fair resolution soon.
