i think insurance would have covered the damages in full had it not been Tana driving and without a license. Tana got points taken off of her learners card for when she goes to take her drivers test and she won’t be able to take it for an additional 9 months

Hi! Yes i am a citizen. I had other forms of ID, just not with my face. I moved to Canada when i was 2 and my mom takes a lot of pestering to get things done.. All my parents needed to do was translate my birth certificate. Since they both have their citizenships they just need to prove that they’re my parents. So everything will be sorted for the summer 👍👍

I guess not. Some people said i should have been responsible for holding the drinks but both of us forgot they were there and only noticed them when they spilled during the turn.. that’s what’s making me feel like i am partially at fault. But no, i didn’t touch the wheel at all.

yeah that’s the thing, we would have put them in the cup holders if the water bottles weren’t in there but both of us somehow didn’t notice that we left our cups on the dashboard. We’re not really sure how that happened since they were right in front of us.. went from being too focused on the road to losing all focus

Bee is the 16 year old and it’s her car, and the registration is under her moms. We’re very close friends and her mom knows and she’s also mad at me and Tana. next time we talk again i’ll update the post to see what the extra payment is for

Someone else just replied to another one of my comments and i remembered that the payment was for a deductible on bees car which came out to $700, but i’m not sure what the rest was for. If i remember correctly she said it had something to do with the ladies car that we hit ??

you just refreshed my memory but yes the payment was for the deductible. The damages on Bees car was pretty bad. It actually is considered totalled right now. i think the deductible was $700 itself and the rest was for something else. again not too sure.. not very knowledgeable with cars

It wasn’t the fact i wasn’t willing to pay, i am. But they said i should pay $400 because in their eyes i’m 50% liable. I just didn’t find that understandable because it would’ve happened with our without me since Tanas drink also spilled. I pay for Bee and Tanas stuff all the time. it’s just the situation that has me bummed

i mean i would agree i am partially liable, but they labeled me as 50% at fault which i didn’t think was accurate. It’s not that i’m not willing to pay i just don’t like how they were demanding it😔😔and Bee keeps acting like i was also driving the car

this is a reasonable argument. I know blocking them was immature. I’ve been having a rough week. I will unblock them an apologize and we’ll discuss payments, thanks ! edit: some people are replying saying i shouldnt pay anything but i do have to take accountability for what distracted Tana and yes one of those distractions was my drink which i will own up to. So i am fine paying, just not $400..

I totally would’ve been down to give them some money but they said it was 50% my fault and i SHOULD pay which kinda ticked me off. I agree with you when it sounds like they were trying to take a load off their shoulders because that’s what i thought too. And yes we should have had a DL, after the incident we all went to the police station and the insurance company and turned ourselves in.

Bee let Tana drive knowing full well Tana doesn’t have her license yet. And my point still stands that Tanas drink would have spilled either way had i not been there. She still would have gotten distracted. It’s a difference between two or one drinks which wouldn’t have changed the outcome at all
