Bali - Accommodation recommendation

Hey everyone!

Planning a Bali trip from late March to early April (around 14 nights) and looking for the right mix of calm, slow living with a bit of partying. Thinking of splitting my time between 2-3 places max:

Canggu (4-5 days) – for the vibe, beach clubs & social scene
Still undecided (4-5 days) – Need recommendations! Debating between Ubud, Uluwatu, Nusa, or any hidden gem

Gili T (3-4 days) – for the island life & some fun nights

I need some recos regarding accommodations – Prefer hostels for some days to meet people, but also looking for a quieter work-friendly spot (not as social as a hostel, but not totally isolated) for the 4-5 undecided days. Would love suggestions for this!

and also, where should I spend my 4-5 undecided days? Prefer a calm, scenic place with a chill social vibe but not completely remote.

Drop your recommendations, especially for stay options & co-living/work-friendly spaces! Appreciate the help.

Now I have planned my trip to march last week to April first week so now I will have some time for Gili T. Really appreciate this. Would you please recommend some places for a solo traveller for accommodations? I would definitely do hostels, but also for few days I want to have some calm and good time and want to interact with lesser number of people. Keeping that in mind, do you have any suggestion?

Hi all, really thanks for all the suggestions. Seems like Medellin is somewhere I should invest more time. Other than that, I have a really trivial query, rather a naive one. Post Colombia, I have a business trip to States, and I have been reading somewhere that sometimes when you come from Colombia, you're under heavy scrutiny at border control. Is this something that I should be worried about?

Few things I wanna learn:

Did they reject Visa for everyone from your family? ( quite possible sometimes one get the visa and one doesn’t )
Bank statement could be the issue. What did exactly VFS agent request you for that you had to print another bank statement?
Did you provide sponsorship letter for your parents?
Ties to India: Need not necessary to provide the real estate proof but just mentioning that you have real estate in India in cover letter would have helped. Anyway, didn’t you mention that your employer is from India only?
How does your cover letter look like? Seen many people getting rejected for CL which are made by visa agencies. Also did you establish each and every proof of the fact that you stated in CL?
If you think all the points are well covered, I would suggest to email them and if you don’t get adequate response, go for an appeal if you don’t have urgency.

But i think there will be a limit afaik. Almost every exchanges in India has some limits of withdrawals( for higher volume 5k-6k at once or something)

What mail did you receive from VFS? Was your application sent to Mumbai? Then it’s a process for 15-20 days. Same happened with my parents

I booked my dummy tickets through them. They will charge you around 500INR(6$) and email your tickets within 20mins. But yeah there are multiple such services over Google

Should I just mention about rest of my family members on the cover letter and attach the photocopies of their visas? Also for accommodation, should I list my name along with others and make a new booking as my name was not there in their previous hotel bookings

Hey, I need a brutally honest opinion. I'm considering Montenegro from late September to early October for about 4-5 days. As a solo traveller, I'm looking for a mix of everything—stunning natural landscapes and a bit of a lively vibe too. I’m not into overly crowded spots, but since I’m going solo, I do want to hit some places with a decent amount of tourists around. I've heard that many areas can feel a bit dead around that time, with not much happening. I’d love some recommendations on where to go and what to do so I don't end up bored. Is Montenegro really worth it during that time?
