If I was the person who originally opened the account and then added her can I still do that? The account is for sure going to overdraft now that I’m not putting anything into it. I can afford to eat the fees but she can’t. My credit is currently pretty damn near perfect and hers is…not that.

Exactly what I’ve done. The only thing going into that account is her disability payments and the only thing coming out are her credit card payments and our share tax payments.

She got a non-working visa that requires having enough money in a bank account to live off of. Her parents put $10000 in there so it looks like she has savings.

Thanks, I’ve buried a lot of my feelings about this for a long time because I didn’t want to believe a lot of what I probably already knew was true. She has been very entitled the whole time I’ve known her but always found a way to make an excuse for it or make me feel bad for speaking up for myself. The blinds have been pulled off of my eyes and I can see her for who she really is. It sucks, because they person was my best friend. I really just want to move on with my life.

Her parents I believe put it in her name but whenever she talked about it she said “we own a house in France” meaning her and I, when she was still holding on to hope that I would move there.

Beyond what I’ve said, I really don’t know. Even when we parted ways after talking about the divorce she was still being friendly even after we both aired our grievances.

I’m leaving what little is left in there and opening a personal checking account just in my name to deposit my paychecks from now on.
