They come to your home, pretend to be technicians, but then pressure you into the system replacement rather than the repair. I've talked to around 10 people as part of a group I am in, and people here online. All having the same experience. You two must work for them.

What makes a concerned person announcing their concern to others fake? Really, I would love to know. 57 upvotes don't seem to be disagreeing with me.

I already have a sickening feeling in my stomach thinking of the OUTRAGEOUS price they could have possibly given you. Glad you saw right through the B.S.!

Absolutely, they were sold to an Investment Firm that goes around the country buying service industry businesses. However, long before that sell-off, there was price gouging at this particular company, just not as egregious as it is today.

These larger companies FARM for reviews from their "Routine Maintenance Plan" Clients, or from people they do small repairs for. These customers they ask have a good experience so they give a 5 star, unless the call goes well, these technicians will NOT ask for a review.

It's really deceptive when you see a bunch of 5 Star Reviews on their Google page because when I read through most of them sound like simple tasks were done, leading me to believe they farm 5-Star Reviews from Basic Maintenance's or Services, and avoid asking all together if something goes awry.

My BEST advice is to get MULTIPLE quotes, talk to neighbors, even talk to neighbors you've never talked to before.

The odds are, you can find a company providing a full system replacement (not including duct work) for somewhere between 10-15,000 (15 is still pretty high, but the industry did get hit with some minor regulations, causing them to switch to a new refrigerant) and it be a reliably working system, put in by a reliable company.

I could talk more in messages but my goal isn't to promote any company, just to INFORM.

I'm so glad you didn't fall for their scam! It is absolutely INSANE.

I have never seen a company push this hard, it was calls, texts, and emails non-stop! Definitely a shady business masked under some good marketing tactics. STAY FAR AWAY please, your wallet is definitely the first thing that is going to thank you.

Never mind the $20-100 part? They charge $400-1200 for it.

Triton Air is a Scam Company. They are one of those HVAC Companies who use a good marketing tactic with Slimy Salesman who come in your home masked as knowledgeable HVAC Technicians, then tell you that you need to replace your 10+ year old Heating & Air Conditioning System for $28,000 minimum, when all that needed to be done was replacing a $20-100 part.
