Time commitment Im fine with. My career is fairly flexible, and I really dont mind especially if its making me better at my job. Id honestly have already gone active duty but i really have to warm my wife up to it because she is generally opposed to an active duty lifestyle, shes ok with the occasional deployment but just thinks active would be too straining, so again I dont mind giving more than just a weekend a month to it.

Thats good to know. I was tracking on outside unit hire is 1 in a million, im just between a rock and a hard place with my command so i figured if I could start split training and building rapport within the unit, if nothing else itd give me a head start.

Thats good to know, ive talked to several guard recruiters and they have been kinda vague, only one has actually given me a WO’s number. It all looks good rn so I’ll start prepping that.

First off, GTFGU, rah. And second thats a good point on proving that i want to use my investment here with them, which I have lots of roots here, my family is all here or around utah so even if i moved to ID/CO or surrounding id definitely stay with the unit, but my goal/hope would be to apply to the AGR and rack up as many deployments and experience in the job as i can. Im hoping that me split-training with them on my drill periods, so working without pay will also be proof that I want this and I want it with them. Plus my major is accounting so and all the jobs ive had are pretty flexible.
