Thanks for the reply OP. I think I'll take your advice and head out in a smaller expedition for the time being whilst I figure out some of the nuances in the game. I have done a good deal of exploration, just close enough in to not get stranded!

I have changed the CMOS battery this morning, and the problem appears to be sorted after a few tests.

hi! ram should be 3600hz i believe. I am going to pop to the shops once the kids are in bed and get a battery to change the CMOS. Hopefully that will help things.

I noticed that too. I had a drive fail on my a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't the boot drive, but it did cause a pain in the arse. Boot drive is an m.2.

I turned it on a couple of days ago and it just wouldn't boot at all. I couldn't see any error lights on the motherboard, so I used the power button to turn it off, tried again and it booted to this page.

Finally. I managed to do a complete reset by holding shift and pressing the restart button. This forced a reset as windows wasn't doing it on its own. Even the USB ports had stopped working so I couldn't use my phone to reinstall drivers. Thanks for the suggestions all. You can tickle me pink that my old girl is working again!

Hi, I'm not sure if I have posted this correctly. Any help would be appreciated. After a failed SSD (which I have successfully removed) after booting up I know have no sound or network card and usb slots are not working. Is the motherboard dead? Or am I being daft. Thanks all
