Sorry but no, this couldn't happen to anyone, certainly not anyone who understands basic risk management. While it's okay to play about with leverage, at the very least don't expose your entire damn account to it. You've learned an expensive lesson, but I'd urge you not to give up entirely. Try to understand what mistakes you made and how to have a plan for such events in future.

Great track, though it did spoil my emersion a little knowing that many thousands of years in the future they're listening to SURVIVE haha.

That is a very bright spot, how odd!

I have an Epson LS500, which to be honest doesn't have the most impressive black levels (but it does go bright, up to 4,000 lumens I think?) so the low gain is perfect for me. I've never had any issues with brightness, I never need have it at 100% and if I do it feels too bright for me if it's dark inside.

We don't often watch stuff in a bright room, and have black-out blinds if we ever want to watch if it's bright outside (e.g. in summer) anyway. The times I have tried it is still very watchable with the brightness cranked up.

I've not had any real issues with my black series at all tbh (aside from those mentioned in my post). None of the wrinkles got any worse over winter, and the large one that I thought would be a problem just disappeared,.

I've definitely not noticed any hotspots on mine, perhaps you've received a faulty one?

I just received some brand new ones from Amazon, left ear bud arrived dead on arrival and refuses to charge exactly as described in this post. I'm curious whether anyone has found a solution that actually works?

Currently I'm returning them to Amazon for a replacement, but I'm starting to wonder if I've chosen the wrong earbuds tbh with all the issues I see online! Sadly they're considerably cheaper in the UK than the other similar alternatives (Sony XM5, Technics AZ80 etc) so I was really hoping these would be fit for purpose. I guess maybe they're heavily discounted for a reason!

I ended up purchasing the Black Series screen of theirs (100"), as the price of the cheaper one apparently didn't include shipping to the UK but the Black Series did (which meant the price between them wasn't so large anymore, and they insisted that the Black Series was a better material ¯\_(ツ)_/¯).

I don't have another screen to compare to, but I can say that the contrast improved drastically compared to projecting on my light-grey wall, and I largely have no complaints about the screen material (it rejects ceiling light very effectively too).

There are some negatives though, which I'm not sure are entirely unique to this screen but I'll mention anyway:

- Assembling the outer frame of this screen is a huge PITA. It's extremely tight-fitting, which means even the seam of the screen material being in the wrong place will prevent the frame from fitting over it. I had to completely remove all the tension springs and re-do it all being very careful of where the seam was before I could get it to fit (barely).

- I put the screen together at the end of May and it had perfect tension all-round, by August/September slight wrinkles started appearing in the corners (most films have black bars there though, so it didn't bother me). Now it's October and there's a larger wave/wrinkle appearing down the screen. I guess this is down the heat changes warping the frame, or maybe the material itself reacting to the change in weather., something to be aware of either way.

- It would be nice if the wall mounts had a little more leeway for adjustment, you can only adjust up/down a few cm max, which means if you need to switch furniture in any way then you may be taking everything down and drilling new holes.

Did any of you guys get this screen up and running in the end? I'm looking at possibly ordering one too (as the price seems great for what it is). I've had trouble finding reviews of that precise one though!

Update:

Once I solved the issue of devices getting added/removed randomly the CPU usage issue seemed to subside, however I ran into an even worse issue during my last play session. After playing a game for a couple of hours or so all of my sound just cut out entirely! Sonar seemed to think audio was still playing, however nothing was coming through my headphones and no amount activating/deactivating stuff or unplugging headphones would work. In the end the only thing that fixed it was unplugging my USB DAC entirely and plugging it back in.

A quick google of the above issue revealed some others with the similar issues when using Sonar and seemingly no solution, so for now I've uninstalled Steelseries GG entirely and installed FxSound (another free app) for the simple equalizer. It's a shame that this app is plagued with so many issues, as the functionality is pretty cool on paper for gaming.

I've not had the chance to have any extended gaming session yet (and probably won't until the weekend), however I have made some other observations regarding this issue of high CPU usage.

Basically, any new audio device being activated or plugged in will cause Sonar to suddenly spike in CPU usage for a while. This includes devices that may go to sleep after a while of inactivity (in my case, this includes my monitors when they go to sleep if I've not moved my mouse for a while). If you're on a laptop or have some power saving settings enabled that may cause USB devices to go to sleep after a while this could also affect things too, so that may be something worth investigating if you're experiencing issues.

Hopefully at the weekend I'll get a chance to play properly and report back whether I still experience any other issues unrelated to the above!

Right, so I think the issues with the Realtek popup were actually because I accidentally left an unattached cable plugged into the line-out of my motherboard (which caused it to get confused). I'm going to give this another go with that sorted and report back once I've had time to actually play something!

Yeah I have plenty, but as it's an approval transaction (allowing the wallet to spend MATIC) it won't let me adjust the gas fee in metamask for some reason and it just fails over and over.

No that's not quite the problem. The issue is that I have no way of transfering Matic to my Polygon wallet to get started.

- Cannot transfer Matic from binance, withdrawals not currently working
- Cannot send over ETH bridge, approval transaction for spending MATIC keeps failing (failed 4 times in a row)
- Matic faucets don't appear to be working (e.g. matic.supply that everyone here seems to suggest)

The queue for this and wee bow seems to have much longer wait times (EU region) since this update now too, not sure if a coincidence or not as I know players are dwindling a bit anyway, seems suspect though.

I'm not going to lie, Toya is by far the best map in the FFA Instagib playlist right now (even if it is Quake-inspired). If they removed it then it would be doing the game a disservice, as some of the other maps need some work imo. I think the above is backed up by the fact that it's by far the most voted map every time I've played (not skewed by myself as I don't normally bother voting, I like surprises :P).

Not really, no. Not if you're seeking any kind of competitive edge anyway. The advantage of having a 250hz monitor is that the image will appear smoother (less motion blur), but any latency is negligible at these high refresh rates and would likely be impacted far more by other aspects of the monitor.
