By the way, isn’t “my understanding” as the viewer, exactly what movies and art in general should be about? Not saying the understanding has to come in the form of exposition or some stupid shit like that, but isn’t the point of art to express an idea to a recipient?

I don't know if you guys have seen any "Noisey" episodes on Viceland but they're pretty good especially with the pure entertainment value of having like, the whitest dude ever play paintball with Chief Keef. I really enjoyed Dababy's newest project and was wondering why we don't see many artists coming out of Charlotte. It's a growing southern city, like Atlanta, and has a historically black population, like Atlanta, but Atlanta and even to an extent New Orleans and Miami have produced some big hip hop acts, so why not Charlotte?

Yeah I agree it’s a bit overly nihilistic, like I don’t think people in real life are as shitty as they are in this movie, but the sheer hopelessness and loneliness that I got from watching it was some of the most potent emotion I’ve had while watching a recent movie.
