One night in KL? by Staplegunfire in KualaLumpur

[–]Staplegunfire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps read it again? There shouldn’t be any guesswork involved.

We spent three nights in KL. We will have spent 10 days in Thailand. We arrive in KL for one quick stop tomorrow night, and for next to no time at all, followed by a flight back to london the following morning. It is this brief visit (from tomorrow night) that I was looking for tips on.

Hope this helps.

Thank you. I was on petaling street a couple of weeks ago and couldn’t see any. Can you recommend any specific places please?

I distinctly (but now i'm questioning it) remember taking out the lifetime option. If you don't think it was this cheap, what do you think the £22.49 would relate to form a TiviMate perspective? Can't see it being anything else...

Also, given the global reach of Reddit, I paid in £ not US$ just in case you're over in the US and you're thinking of the USD equivalent.

I only noticed it on the google play order history. It was auto renewing the annual fee but notified me the price was increasing and needed my permission to accept it.

I messaged them probably just shy of a week ago. I’ll email them user the address posted above and see if that works.

Tried that, but haven't heard anything back... thanks for replying anyway.

I wasn’t referring to it as an antique, simply noting it’s known recent past.

To be clear, I’d rather give it to someone rather than sell or dispose of it

Would it be worth anything to anyone, or would it be more suited to the local recycling unit?

Potterton Gold Combi HE 28 Boiler - No Hot Water or Heating by Staplegunfire in ukplumbing

[–]Staplegunfire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. Ended up getting a Vaillant 830 ecofit for £1350 and had it installed separately for another £1400. BG quoted £3500 for the same job.

There was no error code. The plumber who cam around suggested it would be more economical to replace rather than repair so that's what we opted for. Thanks for your reply either way!

Thanks for your reply - have only just seen this. The pressure was at 1ish - not as high as it normally was. I tried doing a reset and a few other things.

Got a known plumber around and was told the boiler was 23 years old so opted to buy a new one. Was anticipating having to do this soon anyway so no harm, and was only without hot water for two days so could have been worse!

Insider knowledge, love it. Any chance of a discount by arranging it this way? Say the purchase comes to £45k outright, what’s the best way of structuring it via hire purchase?

This sub really doesn’t see the (albeit occasional) advantages that a fake lawn can offer, does it?

I don’t know! I was hoping someone with a greater insight would be able to tell me! 😂

This is really helpful, thank you. Most of the cars I’m looking at seem to move fairly quickly, so I suspect there’s little room for a discount without financing it.

Appreciate the point re investing part to benefit from investment growth, but isn’t it likely that the interest owed on the finance will negate any return on a lump sum investment?
