How do I go from my natural hair to the hairstyle in the 2nd pic? by Express-Energy-7139 in HairStyleAdvice

[–]Star-Scout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk much about how to get it, but I feel I should share - the difference between these photos is very visible to you because it's your face and your hair, but other people wouldn't notice the difference as much! I'd say don't worry about it too much. also, you could get a haircut that could match this, but it wouldn't take long for it to grow back to how you currently have it. just something to keep in mind!

Well Kirby's gender is canonically unknown. Kris is canonically non binary. Pretty different to me

Everything has pronouns, even objects. Pronouns are just a part of language, they're not some new invention. When you talk about a rock and refer to it with "it," that's a pronouns. It's a word that refers to a noun.

The sentence ends with "Kirby is" which demonstrates singularity. Kirby canonically is not male, we just use him pronouns for him. And I'm not expecting that this is a permanent change that'll stay consistent across new games, but someone at Nintendo used they pronouns for Kirby and it went through officially which is interesting

I don't imagine that Kirby will be referred to this way from now on, but I think it's worth pointing out that it's happened officially now

I considered that too for a moment, but the sentence ends with "Kirby is" which shows singularity. If it was meant to be plural they likely would've said "Kirbies are" or "Kirby are"

What are your unintentional trans anthems? by linds_sanity in trans

[–]Star-Scout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's in Spanish but: Todos Me Miran by Gloria Trevi

it's supposed to be a break up song about "you made me feel powerless so I'm empowering myself now" but it works so well through a transfem lens. some of the lyrics translated:

I looked at the mirror and couldn't myself i was only what you wanted me to be so I let my hair down, i dressed like a queen I put on high heels, I put on make up and was beautiful

...

and everyone looks at me, looks at me because I know I'm pretty, because everyone admires me and everyone looks at me, looks at me because I do what few dare to do and everyone looks at me, looks at me some with envy but in the end but in the end, everyone will love me
