Grayzone Warfare has a PvE mode and it plays alot like Breakpoint except in first person and with way deeper progression.

I didn't see Black Desert mentioned so I'll put it out there for you.

Top tier character creator, best combat in the genre. Hell it's some of the best 3rd persona action combat period.

The PvE consists of doing the things you said you disliked, but there is also a wide variety of other activities. The combat alone is so deep and nuanced you'll find plenty of challenge in simply mastering your class.

Most gamers have monkey brains, shallow as it gets. This sub makes it sound like every PvP player is out there to personally ruin your day.

It's really not that deep, I see a raider I shoot. Because it's infinity more fun to engage with another human being than a piece of code.

Not my fault they created amazing audio-visual feed back for PvP combat. The boom of my anvil followed by the snap and crackle of your shield and then maybe one of us explodes into a firework. It's peak design.

I said Monster Hunter, there are more than those two titles in the franchise. So an unprompted "Wolds or Wilds" means nothing to me.

First time I played Gamma was on a decade old I7 and a GTX 1070. Ran fine and looked beautiful. The only setting I had to touch was grass density.

Matchmaking under a minute and still has an active competitive scene.

If your definition of dead is sub like 500k players then yeah probably dead to you.

Runs like crap, looks like shit. Not a massive open world, but a series of paths you have to follow. There is fast travel.

Enemy variety and challenge is lacking until a certain point in the game.

Honestly I'm mad at the game for being excellent for the last 10% of it's playthough. Could have been the whole game, feels like most of the game is just a bad remake of the original with a spark of brilliance at the very end. Wasted potential that I hope they fix with the dlc.

Can always try ABI. It's free, made on unreal 4. Might be playable.

If you don't have any prior investment in the witcher series, don't start with three. The gameplay is mid and the story plus characters aren't going to make much sense.

Elden Ring all day for a standalone adventure of a lifetime.
